Ibrahim Mahama Gifts Xenophobia Victim GH¢200,000, Cement Depot

Business mogul, Ibrahim Mahama has offered financial support and a new business opportunity to xenophobia victim, Emmanuel Asamoah, by pledging to establish a cement distribution and construction hardware depot for him.

The intervention comes days after Mr. Mahama assured Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs of his support for distressed Ghanaians living in South Africa.

At a meeting held in his office with Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr. Mahama made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians residing in the country to return home and contribute meaningfully to national development through employment opportunities within his company, based on their skill sets.

He urged Ghanaians facing hardship abroad to come back home to either establish businesses or learn a trade, assuring them of his willingness to support such efforts.

In a remarkable gesture, Mr. Mahama presented Emmanuel Asamoah with GH¢200,000 to enable him take a one-month break to reunite with his family before relocating to Accra to begin his new business venture.

Mr. Asamoah has voluntarily decided to venture into the hardware business, leaving behind his nails and hairdressing business in South Africa.

Mr. Mahama also commended Ghana’s High Commissioner for his dedicated service and commitment to the welfare of Ghanaians living in South Africa.

He further encouraged Mr. Asamoah to remain strong, disciplined, and focused as he embarks on this new chapter of his life.
