Ashanti NDC Needs Strong Organizer —Richmond Osei

An aspirant for the Ashanti Regional Organiser position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Richmond Osei, has called for strong and effective leadership capable of connecting with the youth, strengthening grassroots mobilisation and working closely with party members to secure electoral victory.
He believes he possesses the leadership qualities, experience and commitment required to transform the party’s organisational structures in the Ashanti Region.
“The NDC needs a strong leader who connects with the youth and works on the ground—and I am that man!” he declared in an interview with Angel FM.
Mr Richmond pledged to prioritise the welfare of grassroots members, particularly those who work tirelessly through the party’s various structures to secure electoral victories.
He said his ambition was to ensure that dedicated party members were adequately recognised, empowered and given fair access to opportunities and resources.
According to him, his declaration tour had provided an opportunity to engage constituency executives and grassroots members, listen to their concerns and identify the challenges confronting the party’s organisational structures.
“I, Osei Richmond, carry one clear and consistent message from the beginning of my declaration tour till now: The welfare of people who function in various organs of the party to make the party win elections must be prioritised.
“I have gone round, listened to the challenges facing various constituencies, analysed them and developed strategies to address the problems,” he stated.
He appealed to delegates to support his candidature, promising to introduce practical measures to improve grassroots participation, strengthen constituency structures and ensure that party members benefited from their contributions.
Mr Richmond further stressed the need for unity, strategic organisation and effective mobilisation, particularly among young people, whom he considers critical to the NDC’s electoral fortunes in the region.
His candidature has also received endorsements from some supporters, including Krobia Asante, who praised his scholarship initiative and community support programmes.
“I admire Osei Richmond’s scholarship initiative and how he supports his people. Delegates should vote for him!” Mr Asante said.
Mr Asante urged delegates to consider the aspirant’s interventions in education and community development as they decide who should lead the party’s regional organisational machinery.
Mr Richmond is seeking the mandate of delegates to become the next Ashanti Regional Organiser, with a campaign message centred on youth engagement, grassroots empowerment, party unity and electoral victory.
