Nogokpo Chiefs Rubbish Joyce Dzidzor Over False Claims Against Fiifi Kwetey

The Chief of Nogokpo in the Volta Region, Torgbui Sabah, has dismissed allegations made by former HIV/AIDS Ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, against the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, describing them as unfounded and misleading.

In a statement issued by his office on Sunday, March 29, Torgbui Sabah said a viral social media video featuring Ms. Mensah contained claims that “do not reflect the truth” and should be treated with utmost disregard by the public.

According to the statement, Ms. Mensah visited Nogokpo in February 2026, where she sought spiritual guidance from a deity known as Torbokor.

During her stay, she reportedly made personal claims, including an alleged relationship with Mr. Kwetey and that she has a 10-year-old child with him.

The statement noted that these assertions were questioned at the time and that she was cautioned against making unverified and potentially harmful allegations.

“The Office advises the public not to give credence to the assertions made in the video, as they lack substantiation,” the statement said, adding a call for restraint in the spread of unverified information, particularly on social media.

The development follows a widely circulated video in which Ms. Mensah alleged that Mr. Kwetey has failed to take responsibility for a child she claims they share.

She also indicated her willingness to undergo a DNA test to confirm the paternity of the child.

The Nogokpo traditional authority has urged the public to exercise responsibility in the dissemination of information to avoid misinformation and reputational harm.
