Bole MP Supports U-13 Team With GH¢50,000 For Milo Games

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole-Bamboi and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Yussif Sulemana, has donated GH¢50,000 to support the Bole District Under-13 team’s participation in the upcoming Milo Games championship scheduled to take place in Takoradi.
The donation was presented on behalf of the MP by his spokesperson, Mr. Iddisah Tahiru Omega, to the District Director of Education, Mr. Richard Achinani Sepaga, at the director’s office on March 10, 2026.
Mr. Omega reaffirmed the MP’s commitment to improving the standard of education in the district, noting that the donation forms part of several interventions by the MP to support the Bole District Education Directorate.
Receiving the donation, Mr. Sepaga explained that the Bole District Under-13 team had qualified to represent the district at the national Milo Games, which will be held in Takoradi later this year.
He noted that preparing the team for the championship required substantial financial resources, prompting the directorate to appeal to individuals and institutions for support.
According to him, a formal request was submitted to the MP, who subsequently pledged his assistance.
Mr. Sepaga expressed appreciation to Yussif Sulemana for fulfilling his promise, indicating that the GH¢50,000 donation would cover about 90 percent of the team’s expenses for the competition.
“On behalf of the management of the Ghana Education Service and the Bole District Education Directorate, we wish to express our profound gratitude to the Honourable Member of Parliament for his enormous support towards the development of education in the district,” he said.
He added that the MP has consistently supported educational initiatives in the district by providing logistics and other forms of assistance to enhance teaching and learning.
Mr. Sepaga noted that such interventions play a crucial role in nurturing young talents and developing future leaders for the country.
He also called on other stakeholders, particularly indigenes of the district, to emulate the MP’s gesture by supporting the team and the education directorate with additional logistics to ensure quality education and successful participation in the national championship.
The Bole District Under-13 team will represent the district and the Savannah Region at the national Milo Games championship in Takoradi, where they will compete with other qualifying teams from across the country.
