A mother in the Oti Region is demanding justice after her newborn reportedly sustained a deep cut near the ear during a cesarean section at the Jasikan District Hospital.
According to a report by GH One TV, the family was discharged from the facility without being informed of the injury.
The newborn was later transferred to another hospital for further treatment.
The family is calling on the hospital’s management and relevant health authorities to provide answers regarding how the incident occurred and why they were not notified earlier.
But the baby is currently responding to treatment following a procedure at Mary Theresa Hospital, Oti Region.
As of press time, the Jasikan District Hospital had not issued an official statement on the matter.
