LAGHF Holds Breast Cancer Awareness & Screening At Kasoa Market

The Ladies After God’s Heart Foundation (LAGHF) has organized a comprehensive breast cancer awareness and health screening exercise at the Kasoa New Market as part of efforts to promote early detection and prevention of breast cancer among women in the Central Region.
The initiative, dubbed “She’s Strong Outreach 2025,” drew scores of market women, traders, and community members.
It forms part of the foundation’s annual health program aimed at empowering women to take proactive steps toward safeguarding their health.
Health professionals and volunteers partnered with the foundation to offer free breast screening and education on breast self-examination, signs, and symptoms of breast cancer.
Speaking at the event, the Founder and Leader of the Foundation, Lady Dr. Evelyn Paha, underscored the importance of early detection in saving lives.

She explained that many breast cancer cases are reported at advanced stages, reducing the chances of effective treatment.
“Breast cancer is not a death sentence when detected early. I encourage every woman here to take advantage of free screenings like this and seek medical advice immediately when they notice unusual changes,” Dr. Paha stated.
She also highlighted that many women, particularly traders, often neglect their health due to busy schedules and economic pressures. She urged them to make regular medical checkups a priority.
“We cannot serve God or take care of our families when we ignore our health. Taking 10 minutes for screening can make a lifetime difference,” she added.
Participants expressed deep appreciation to the foundation for bringing such a vital initiative to their doorstep. Several women described the exercise as an eye-opener and pledged to share the knowledge gained with others in their communities.
LAGHF announced that similar outreach programs will be extended to other parts of the municipality to empower women spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
Through initiatives like this, the Ladies After God’s Heart Foundation continues to make a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer, championing awareness, early detection, and healthy living among women in Kasoa and across Ghana.
